I couldn't believe that we were going to a dude ranch in Colorado out of all places for my grandparent's 50th Anniversary. I was not excited to go because I was scared of horses ever since I was a little kid. I didn't think going to a ranch without any TV, cell phones, and I-pods was going to be fun at all. I was so wrong.
After the long plane ride and after we got settled in our rooms/cabins, we went to eat a huge dinner that was delicious, and then we got our horses. That first day, horses didn't frighten me anymore. I wanted a horse that could keep up with my cousins. The whole week we had so much stuff to do each day like going white-water rafting, fishing at the lake, going to see a rodeo, pack camp, and going for a cattle drive. Pack camp is where we went on a three-hour ride to camp overnight, cooked the food over a fire and told scary ghost stories.
